Limited Parking at New Orleans International Airport: Secure Your Spot Early with Southwest Airlines’ New Baggage Check-In Service

In the midst of the Fourth of July holiday weekend, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport made an announcement regarding new baggage check-in services for Southwest Airlines customers. This new service is located at the economy garage, which is open 24/7 and situated at 900 Airline Drive, just a 15-minute shuttle ride from the airport. The garage offers 2,438 parking spaces, but as of 10:10 a.m. on Friday, only 111 spaces were available with all other parking lots at full capacity.

The economy garage is designed to make it easy and efficient for passengers flying with Southwest Airlines to handle their checked luggage. With limited parking spaces available, passengers are encouraged to arrive early to secure a spot. The airport’s website reported that all other parking lots were at capacity during the holiday weekend, highlighting the importance of planning ahead when it comes to parking at the airport. Despite high demand for parking, the economy garage remains a viable option for Southwest Airlines customers looking to check in their bags before their flights.

Passengers are required to check their bags at least two hours prior to their flight. The economy garage is open from 4 a.m. to noon and is equipped with amenities such as restrooms and drinking fountains. By offering baggage check-in at this location, the airport aims to improve overall experience for passengers flying with Southwest Airlines.

Overall, this new service will provide convenience for travelers who need to check in their bags before their flights while ensuring that they have enough time to explore all that New Orleans has to offer during their layovers or before heading back home after a fun-filled holiday weekend!
