Monday’s Adventure: Letting Customers Lead

During Monday’s User Experience Hackathon, Manday’s employees worked tirelessly to perform 745 system upgrades in just one day. This dedicated day focused on creating upgrades and improvements proposed directly by the company’s users, partners, and online communities. Teams in Tel Aviv, London, and Warsaw, consisting of engineers, product managers, and designers, halted their current work to concentrate on addressing over 2,000 suggestions and reported UX problems that had been collected over several weeks. After a selection process, the employees began planning solutions for the ideas chosen during the hackathon.

The driving force behind this initiative is Manday’s belief that user experience (UX) is paramount. Ila Narushevitz, director of product design at Manday explained “This year we decided to pay special attention to the issue of user experience. We set an ambitious goal of developing and correcting hundreds of proposals that came from our customers through a concentrated effort in our offices around the world.” The teams tackled various customer feedback from minor visual changes to text corrections and completing important features to enhance the user experience.

Manday has always valued the impact of a smooth and intuitive user experience on customers’ daily work and places a significant emphasis on customer relations within its corporate culture. The success of the hackathon demonstrates the potential of customer-centered development by highlighting the importance of incorporating customer feedback to drive innovation and maintain product relevance. By actively involving customers in the process, Manday not only addressed specific system needs but also fostered a sense of community and creativity while establishing a deeper connection with its customers.
