During a discussion with the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Mark Ruffalo confirmed that he will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming film, Captain America: Brave New World. Despite not revealing much about his role in the movie, Ruffalo stated that “it’s going to be great.”
Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford have also been confirmed to reprise their roles as Sam Wilson and Thaddeus Ross, respectively. With William Hurt having passed away in 2022, Ford has taken over the role of Thaddeus Ross. This character has a significant history with Bruce Banner and has become the Red Hulk in some storylines, leading to speculation about the introduction of this character in the film.
Ruffalo has taken a break from the MCU in recent years but has remained involved in Marvel projects such as She-Hulk and What If…? He has also appeared in non-superhero films. Captain America: Brave New World is set for release on February 14, 2025 and fans can look forward to more Marvel news including the company’s release of the first trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine.
