Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey has launched an investigation into the sale of illegal vape and marijuana products by distributors in the state. The investigation includes a request for documents and information from businesses, including Vape Society Supplies in Columbia.
Bailey alleges that these businesses are violating the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act by selling e-cigarettes and vapes deceptively and Delta-8 products in illegal means. The Food and Drug Administration had previously issued a warning letter to Vape Society Supplies regarding electronic nicotine delivery system and e-liquid products.
In response to the investigation, Bailey has set a deadline of May 10 for compliance, requiring businesses to provide information on business owners, organizational charts, products sold, terms of sale, inventory, and more for all locations where they conduct business. ABC 17 News will update readers as the story develops.
