The FTSE index in London was down 0.1 percent, while the DAX in Frankfurt was up 0.2 percent. In Paris, the CAC 40 index was down 0.1 percent. The OMXS30 index in Stockholm was also down 0.1 percent. Despite this, the Euro Stoxx 600 index saw a slight increase of 0.1 percent overall.

The car market in the European Union region experienced significant growth in October, with new car registrations increasing by 14.6 percent compared to the same month last year. This growth was driven by strong demand across several key markets, including France, Italy, Spain, and Germany, where registration of new cars increased by 21.9%, 20%, 18.1%, and 4.9% respectively
