Montgomery Firefighters Quickly Extinguish Business Fire in the Early Hours

Firefighters in Montgomery responded to a blaze at an empty business on Zelda Road early Wednesday morning. The Montgomery Fire/Rescue units were dispatched to the 2600 block of Zelda Road after receiving a report of a possible structure fire.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered smoke and flames coming from a vacant commercial building, prompting them to declare a 2nd alarm fire. The location was identified as the former site of Mrs. Winners Chicken & Biscuits.

Firefighters initiated a defensive attack using hand lines and aerial ladder systems to control and extinguish the fire. While conducting primary and secondary searches of the building, no individuals were found inside, and there were no reports of any injuries resulting from the fire.
