Recently, Waipahu High School in Honolulu held a blessing ceremony for their new academic health center. The center is the first of its kind in the nation and offers students hands-on experience in healthcare by working alongside and shadowing medical professionals. Dr. Leslie Chun, CEO of Hawaii Pacific Health Medical Group, spoke about the unique aspects of the academic center and how it was inspired by a desire to provide students with valuable learning experiences. Hawaii Pacific Health hopes that the center will contribute to their future success in the healthcare field.
