L’Jarius Sneed and Chidobe Awuzie, two new cornerbacks added to the Titans defense this offseason, have brought a fresh perspective to the team. Despite being a veteran player, Amani Hooker had to learn the new defensive scheme alongside his less experienced teammates. The new scheme is much more aggressive than what the team was doing in the past, but Hooker notes that the coaching staff has been instrumental in teaching when to be aggressive and when to hold back.
With their aggressive approach and key additions, the Titans are expected to generate turnovers and improve field position. If they can continue to be aggressive and make plays, it could set the stage for better offensive results as well. Hooker’s experience with the team has allowed him to identify the key differences in the new defensive scheme and he remains focused on learning and improving within the new system. With these changes, Hooker believes that he is ready for whatever challenges come his way in this new season.
