After a disappointing 3-0 loss to Velež in the Mostar derby, Zrinjski has decided to part ways with head coach Krunoslav Rendulić. Despite leading the team to a double crown and securing a historic placement in the group stage of the Conference League last year, recent performance led to his dismissal.
To replace Rendulić, Zrinjski has appointed Mario Ivanković as their new head coach. Ivanković is a 48-year-old coach with extensive experience in working with first teams. He spent nearly six years with the same team and has also worked with the U17 and U19 national teams of BiH. Currently, he is part of the professional staff of the A national team of BiH.
Zrinjski has stated that Ivanković will be supported by coaches from the previous coaching staff until further notice. The duration of Ivanković’s tenure as Zrinjski’s head coach has not yet been disclosed, but he will be assisted by coaches from the previous staff as he takes on this new role.
