The Waste Isolation Pilot Plant Hosts First-ever Regional Science Bowl

The Regional Science Bowl was held at Southeast New Mexico College with seven schools participating in the event. The teams competing included Carlsbad High School, Carlsbad Early College, New Mexico Military Institute, and Hobbs High School. All teams showcased their expertise in various scientific fields, making the competition fierce and exciting for both participants and spectators.

Despite the tough competition, the New Mexico Military Institute team emerged victorious, securing the No. 1 title. Comprised of two sophomores, a junior, and a senior, their exceptional knowledge in math and science helped them earn their spot at the upcoming national competition scheduled for April 25-29.
