New World: Aeternum to be released on PC and console in the near future

Amazon Games has announced that New World: Aeternum, an enhanced version of the original New World game, will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC starting October 15, 2024. The news was revealed during the Summer Game Fest on June 9, accompanied by a trailer showcasing the massively multiplayer online game (MMO).

New World: Aeternum includes additional content such as the game’s first large-scale player vs. player zone, a 10-player raid, end-game solo trials, updated character archetypes, and more. With the expansion to console, cross-platform play has been confirmed, allowing players on different platforms to team up and play together online.

In New World: Aeternum, players take on the role of shipwrecked explorers who arrive at the supernatural island of Aeternum to carve out their destiny in a world filled with danger and opportunity. The gameplay is skill-based, featuring real-time combat with a variety of weapons like swords, guns, and magic for battles against enemies or large-scale player vs. player combat.
