Old Dominion University Ranked One of the Best Online Master’s Sport Management Programs for 2024-25 by Sports Degrees Online

Old Dominion University’s Online Master of Science in Sport Management program has been named one of the Best Online Master’s Sport Management Programs for 2024-25 by Sports Degrees Online. The program was recognized for its rigorous curriculum, which includes input from sports industry professionals and academics.

The Old Dominion University Sport Management graduate program is designed to prepare students for leadership roles in the sports industry. The program offers a range of key features, including online courses, on-campus classes, opportunities for networking and internships with industry leaders, and courses taught by experienced Ph.D. faculty members.

Dr. Lynn Ridinger, GPD of the program, highlights the core courses in Sport Marketing, Sport Finance, Sport Law, and Sport Management & Leadership as providing students with a solid foundation. Additional courses in Sport Analytics and Sport Entrepreneurship are also available to give students more options to choose from according to their career goals. Graduates of the MS in Sports Management program have gone on to work with a variety of sports organizations such as NBA Portland Trail Blazers, USA Artistic Swimming and ODU Athletics among others.
