In recent days, Orange County health inspectors have been busy closing down restaurants and food vendors due to various health code violations. The Mobil station on Brookhurst St. in Garden Grove was shut down on June 26 due to a cockroach infestation, but was able to reopen the next day after the issue was addressed.
Similarly, Bagels Tea in Huntington Beach was closed on June 26 for a rodent infestation but was able to reopen on June 27. Layer Cake Bakery in Irvine was also closed on June 26, although the reason for the closure was not provided. They were able to reopen on the same day.
Several other establishments were closed for cockroach infestations, including Cho Cu Bakery in Westminster, Green Tomato Grill in Orange, Chada Thai in Garden Grove, EZ Baby Market in Anaheim, Lam Van in Westminster, Luc Dinh Ky Restaurant in Westminster, and Poke Garden in Huntington Beach. These locations were able to reopen after the issues were resolved.
In addition to pest-related closures, the 7-Eleven in Garden Grove was temporarily closed on June 21 due to inoperable employee restrooms, reopening the next day.
