Paul Frederic Anderson, 44, passed away peacefully at UPMC Altoona after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Mansfield, Ohio, the middle son of Terry and Marci Anderson. Paul had one older brother, David, and a younger brother, Michael.

Growing up in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, Paul attended Hollidaysburg Area High School and graduated in 1998. He then went on to earn a degree in economics from Duke University in 2002. In addition to his time in Hollidaysburg, Paul also had homes in Austin, Texas; Pittsburgh; and parts of Maryland.

Paul was an avid sports fan who loved playing basketball with his brothers and eventually starred on the Hollidaysburg high school team. He was also a huge fan of the Duke Blue Devils, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Penn State Nittany Lions. His love for sports continued throughout his life as he coached youth basketball teams in Austin and Hollidaysburg.

Paul is survived by his parents and brothers and their respective families. David and Emily Anderson are parents to Sydney, 18, and Jack, 14. Michael and Jana Anderson are parents to Misha, 14, Luke
