Pelicans Struggle on Three-Game Losing Streak Against the Spurs

The New Orleans Pelicans (45-31, seventh in the Western Conference) will face off against the San Antonio Spurs (18-58, 15th in the Western Conference) on Friday at 8 p.m. EDT. The Pelicans are coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

The Spurs have a record of 10-30 in games decided by 10 points or more and are ranked last in the league for shooting efficiency with 46.2% from the field this season. On the other hand, the Pelicans are shooting slightly lower at 48.6% from the field but are ranked third in the league for rebounding with an average of 47.9 rebounds per game and allowing just 110.6 points per game to their opponents.

This will be their fourth meeting this season, with the Pelicans winning all three previous contests against the Spurs, including a narrow victory on Feb. 3 by a score of 114-113 where Zion Williamson led with an impressive performance of scoring 33 points while Devin Vassell scored 28 for Spurs.
