The World Senior Darts Tour in 2024 will be the final year on the circuit for Phil Taylor, also known as ‘the Power’. The 16-time world champion had initially retired from the sport in 2018, but returned to competitive darts last year after making the final of the PDC World Championship.
Taylor confirmed that his glittering career on the oche is about to enter its final 12 months. However, he will continue to be a global ambassador for the World Senior Darts Tour after his retirement. During his career, Taylor earned the nickname ‘the Power’ and is a 16-time world champion. He expressed his love for performing and for the journey he’s had over the past 35 years.
Billy Lovell of World Senior Darts Tour praised Taylor as one of the UK’s greatest sportspeople and expressed gratitude for his decision to come out of retirement at the beginning of the project. Lovell also highlighted the fun they have had with Taylor and anticipated that his final year on tour would be enjoyable. The World Senior Darts Tour consists of 11 events, including the World Senior Darts Championship at the Circus Tavern in February, and Taylor aims to go out on a high in 2024.
