Saint Francis freshman Bobby Rosenberger III was named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday, earning this accolade for his outstanding performance in the game against Penn State. He scored a career-high 19 points and had eight rebounds in the contest. Rosenberger shot exceptionally well, hitting 7-of-10 from the floor, 3-of-5 from behind the arc, and 2-of-2 from the free throw line. This makes him the 11th player under coach Rob Krimmel to be named NEC Rookie of the Week and the 26th time overall in his 12 seasons as head coach.

Meanwhile, Penn State senior guard Makenna Marisa was selected to the Big Ten Weekly Honor Roll for her impressive performances against Kansas and St. John’s. In both games, Marisa scored an impressive total of 49 points combined – she had 34 points in the game against Kansas, which matched her career high and set a new record with her eighth 30-plus-point performance. She also had five assists in these two games. At ninth all-time in scoring at Penn State with a total of 1,864 points, Marisa’s eighth performance with over 30 points ties her for second place on this list.

Finally, Pitt guard Carlton Carrington received ACC Rookie of the Week honors for his standout play against Florida Gulf Coast and Jacksonville last week. Carrington scored an impressive total of 36 points across both games (19 against Florida Gulf Coast and 17 against Jacksonville), making him Pitt’s twelfth player to receive conference Rookie of the Week honors since DeJuan Blair did so back in 2007–08 season in Big East Conference.
