Police on Alert for Sexual Abuser at Chicago Museum: What We Know About the Suspect and Steps Being Taken

In Chicago, the police department is currently on the lookout for a suspect who allegedly abused a 10-year-old girl at the Museum of Science and Industry. The incident took place when the man offered to help the girl after she was separated from her group at the museum, located at 5700 S. DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

The suspect is described as being in his 30s with light skin, curly light brown hair, a beard, and a neck tattoo of a roaring lion. He stands between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot-3 inches tall, weighs about 170 pounds with a medium build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a light blue shirt, a blue vest, blue jeans, and black gym shoes.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect to contact detectives at 312-492-3810. The incident has raised concerns about safety and security at the museum, prompting the need for increased vigilance when visiting public places with children.
