Naughty Dog has officially confirmed the remaster of The Last of Us Part 2, a survival horror sequel. The game will be released for PlayStation 5 on January 19, 2024. According to Eurogamer.net, this remaster of the last major PS4 game will include improved texture resolution, shadow quality, level-of-detail distance, animation fluidity, and more. Additionally, it will offer native 4K resolution in Fidelity mode or 1440p resolution upscaled to 4K in Performance mode, along with an unlocked framerate option for TVs with VRR support.
The PS5 remaster will have improved loading times and haptic support for the DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers. Owners of the PS4 version can upgrade for 10 euros, and the remaster will also introduce a new game mode called ‘No Return’ and ‘Guitar Free Play’ mode. This suggests the possibility of a PC version of TLOU2 in the near future.
