Ranking the Best Public High Schools in Kentucky: A Look at U.S. News & World Report’s Top 200 Schools

When it comes to determining the best places to live in America, there are several factors that need to be taken into account. These include population, cost of living, education, and crime rates. With so many data-driven platforms constantly changing, it’s important to stay informed about the latest updates.

Recently, U.S. News & World Report reviewed nearly 25,000 public high schools across the country in order to create an annual list of the best schools. Using standardized testing results, graduation rates, College Board and International Baccalaureate exam data, as well as information from the U.S. Department of Education, rankings were determined. Kentucky had over 200 schools make the cut, highlighting the state’s commitment to education.

Out of these 200 schools in Kentucky, 226 made U.S. News & World Report’s list of the best public high schools in the state. Some of the top schools included DuPont Manual High School and J. Graham Brown School in Louisville, Highlands High School in Fort Thomas, and Atherton High School in Louisville. Other notable schools on the list were Pikeville High School, South Oldham High School, and Ballad High School among others
