Real Madrid’s Football Clinics Make a Difference in Namibia: A Look at the Upcoming Program and Its Ongoing Impact

A delegation from Namibia recently visited Real Madrid City to present their program of educational football clinics that will be held in the country this year. The clinics, now in their second year, are expected to involve over 1,000 children and will take place in four towns from May 13 to 24 and October 7 to 18. Funding for the clinics will come from Cadilu Fishing, with support from the Ministries of Sport and Education as well as the Spanish Embassy in Namibia.

Two coaches from the Real Madrid Foundation will travel to Namibia to work with the young participants, providing them with a unique football experience and teaching valuable values through the Foundation’s educational methodology. The ongoing support from the Ministry of Sports and the Spanish Embassy has helped establish the clinics as a recurring program. Further plans include the opening of an Educational Football Programme in September, supported by Cadilu Fishing, to continue promoting sport and education in the country. The proceeds from these activities will benefit socio-sports projects that the Real Madrid Foundation operates for children at risk of exclusion.

Emilio Butragueño, Director of Institutional Relations for Real Madrid, hosted the delegation during their visit. The purpose of their trip was to present details about the upcoming football clinics program which is expected to have a positive impact on children’s lives in Namibia by improving their skills through specialized training and promoting valuable values through football education.
