The mandatory insurance provider for vehicles traveling on the King Fahd Causeway towards Bahrain, United Insurance Company, has announced that short insurance periods (3, 5, and 10 days) are now exclusively available through electronic channels starting from July 1st. This change aims to simplify the insurance process and ensure that travelers can easily obtain coverage before crossing the bridge.
Previously, the shortest insurance period was one month and could only be obtained at insurance booths. With this new initiative, United Insurance Company is streamlining its services and making it more convenient for travelers to obtain coverage. The electronic insurance service allows for the issuance of documents and payment of fees online, eliminating the need for physical transactions at the booths.
Maysaa Al Kooheji, CEO of United Insurance Company, stated that this move is part of their digital transformation policy and an initiative to enhance their services. This decision follows recent developments in their branding efforts with a new logo launched in January, marking a significant milestone in their development process.
