The Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department and the village of Saranac Lake are excited to announce that the 10th annual Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Truck Parade and Tree Lighting will take place on Friday, Dec. 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The event will kick off with a parade featuring fire trucks from various departments, showcasing their equipment and unity in collaboration. The parade route will begin at Broadway and end at Main Street, with a very special guest – Santa Claus himself!

Following the parade, attendees can enjoy a tree lighting ceremony in Berkeley Green from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m., where Santa will light the tree while everyone is invited to join in a festive holiday sing-along with the Northern Lights Choir. Warm cookies and hot cocoa will also be available near the bonfire.

Kids have an opportunity to visit Santa from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., where they can share their wish lists with him and capture the moment with a photo at the Saranac Lake Free Library.

A 40-foot tree donated by Moody Tree Farm will be lit up in Riverside Park at 7:30 p.m., marking another successful year of this beloved event that brings together community members of all ages for some holiday cheer!
