Seinfeld: The Film Industry is ‘Over’ – But He’s Excited for Unfrosted

In an interview with GQ, comedian Jerry Seinfeld expressed his thoughts on the current state of the movie business. He described the industry as being “over” due to a sense of confusion among show business workers. Seinfeld mentioned that many people in the film industry are unsure of what to do and how to navigate the changing landscape of movies.

Despite this uncertainty, Seinfeld is excited about his upcoming film, Unfrosted, which will be released on Netflix next month. This project marks his directorial debut and he expressed surprise at the seriousness with which people in the film industry approach their work.

Seinfeld elaborated on how movies used to be a central part of social and cultural discussion, but in today’s fast-paced media landscape, people are constantly inundated with content and struggling to keep up with the volume of entertainment available.

Unfrosted tells the story of the rivalry between Kellogg’s and Post in 1963 as they compete to create a groundbreaking breakfast pastry. The film promises to be a whimsical tale of ambition, betrayal, and quirky characters, all set against the backdrop of the cereal industry. In addition to Seinfeld, the movie features a star-studded cast including Melissa McCarthy, Jim Gaffigan, Hugh Grant, Amy Schumer, Max Greenfield, Christian Slater, Sarah Cooper
