Woman and child shoot in Texas church

At approximately 1:45pm local time in Houston, Texas, a woman carrying a rifle entered Lakewood Church and opened fire. The attack occurred during the break between services, just as a Spanish service was about to start. Joel Osteen, co-founder of the megachurch, confirmed the incident.

The woman, who was approximately 30 to 35 years old, allegedly threatened those present by claiming she had a bomb. However, no explosives were found. The police reported that the woman was wearing a coat and a backpack at the time of the attack.

A young boy, around 5 years old, was also injured in the incident and is currently receiving medical attention. A 57-year-old man was also injured but has since been released from the hospital.
