The 2024 World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest is set to take place at Liberty Park from May 15-18, and the entertainment lineup has been revealed. On Wednesday night, fans can enjoy Barbecue Sauce Wrestling, on Thursday there will be a performance by alternative rock band Marcy Playground, and on Friday, local rock band Ingram Hill will take the stage. DJ MicTee from K97 will close out the festivities with a performance on Saturday, all taking place at the Cattlemen’s Main Stage.
At the Home Depot Outdoor Kitchen, attendees can meet and greet with pitmasters such as Moe Cason, Joe Davidson, Megan & Jason Day, Chris Lilly and more. Free samples of barbecue sauce will also be available. The McCormick Demo Stage will offer culinary tips and a special meet and greet with Rocky Stubblefield of Stubb’s Bar-B-Q Sauce. The Cooker Caravan with Heath Riles BBQ will provide an escorted tour where guests can learn from competitors between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m on Thursday and Friday.
