Jennifer McRae, a digital media producer with over 25 years of news experience, has covered the story of Vicki Ray, a Denver Nuggets superfan who has been banned from games at Ball Arena and has filed a lawsuit against Kroenke Sports and Entertainment. Ray, one of the most recognizable Nuggets fans and holds season tickets for 32 years, believes that her ban is a deliberate attempt to resell her season tickets at a higher price due to increasing demand for Denver Nuggets tickets.
In documents submitted to the court, Ray asserts that her conduct always complied with the NBA Fan Code of Conduct. She also alleges breach of contract, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, violation of the Colorado Consumer Protection Act, and intentional or reckless infliction of emotional distress. The case has been filed in Denver District Court.
Ray’s lawsuit seeks compensation for the loss of her four seats that she purchased for $20,000 and damages for emotional distress caused by the ban. McRae reports on this story for CBS News as part of the digital team recognized multiple times by the Colorado Broadcasters Association.
