T20 World Cup Final Between India and South Africa on Bridgetown’s Kensington Oval Stadium: The Battle for Supremacy with Rain as the Umpire

The T20 World Cup final between India and South Africa is scheduled to take place in Bridgetown, Barbados. However, the chance of rain impacting the game remains a concern as it has affected both teams during their semi-finals. India defeated England in a rain-affected match, while South Africa triumphed over Afghanistan in their clash.

The Barbados Meteorological Service has warned of a tropical storm potentially affecting the island on match day, and heavy rainfall was reported ahead of the final match. Despite an improvement in the weather forecast leading up to the game, the playing conditions and outfield will be inspected by the umpires before the toss time to ensure that the game can proceed.

The ICC has allocated a reserve day for the final in case it cannot be completed on schedule. The reserve day policy states that every effort will be made to complete the match on schedule, with a reduction in overs if necessary. A minimum of 10 overs per side must be completed for the match to be considered valid. If rain interrupts play on scheduled day but cannot be completed, it will resume from where it left off on reserve day.

In case of rain impacting the T20 World Cup final, both teams will have another chance to compete if needed on reserve day. The likelihood of rain playing a significant role in this match is high as it could reach up to 51% during playtime.

Fans eagerly anticipate watching one of these two cricket giants battle each other for supremacy at Bridgetown’s Kensington Oval Stadium.
