Additionally, drastic drops in blood pressure when transitioning from sitting to standing can lead to dizziness and fainting.
Severe dehydration involves a loss of 5% or more of body fluids and can accelerate breathing and heart rate, lower blood pressure, cause drowsiness, fainting, wrinkled skin, muscle cramps, convulsions, and loss of consciousness.
