CBS Sports Predicts Seattle Seahawks Will Return to Playoffs in 2024 Following One-Year Hiatus

The Seattle Seahawks narrowly missed the postseason last year, landing the No. 8 seed in the NFC. With a 9-8 record for the second year in a row, there is room for improvement. Changes have already been made with a new head coach, Mike Macdonald, taking over for longtime coach Pete Carroll, along with other staff adjustments.

Despite facing tough competition from strong contenders like the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams in the NFC West division, CBS Sports has identified six teams that missed the playoffs in 2023 but are expected to make it in 2024. These include the Seahawks, New York Jets, Tennessee Titans, Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Atlanta Falcons.

The Jets are banking on quarterback Aaron Rodgers returning after an injury sidelined him early in the 2023 season. It will be interesting to see if these projections hold true as the season unfolds and each of these teams works towards securing their spot in the playoffs.
