Police investigating after a man reportedly stole an ATM from a business

On the night of February 12th, a man in a black Ford Fusion stole an ATM from a business in Boyce. According to Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office (RPSO), the man approached the business in the 5500 block of Old Boyce Road at around 4:55 a.m., and allegedly backed into the building, rammed the front doors off their hinges to gain entry. Once inside, he took the ATM machine and placed it in his vehicle before leaving about six minutes later.

The suspect is wanted for simple burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property. RPSO is currently investigating the incident and asking for any information related to it from members of the public. The black Ford Fusion should have significant damage to its rear end and missing side mirrors due to its collision with the building. Additionally, it lost its rear bumper and several undercarriage items during the incident.
