The latest installment of the Momotaro Dentetsu World franchise has reclaimed the top spot in Japan’s monthly charts, selling a staggering 153,137 copies in January. This was enough to surpass Super Mario Bros Wonder, which came in second with 151,569 units sold.
In addition to this success, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth debuted on PS5 and ranked third with 102,940 units sold. However, it’s worth noting that the PS4 version of the game also did quite well, coming in at No.6 with 77,134 copies sold. If we were to combine the sales from both versions of the game, it would have comfortably taken the top spot.
Spider-Man 2 came in at No.4 with 98,157 units sold while a new entry Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island secured the fifth spot with 85,424 copies sold. Switch was the highest-selling hardware across three versions at 241,282 units and Xbox came in third place with just 7,654 units sold.
