Bill Nye, the Science Guy, to appear in Central Texas for April 8th’s total solar eclipse | San Antonio

Bill Nye, the beloved 68-year-old TV personality and science educator, is heading to Central Texas for the total solar eclipse on April 8. The Planetary Society, led by Nye, will host a two-day camping experience in Fredericksburg, Texas Hill Country from April 7-8. The Eclipse-O-Rama event will feature an exciting lineup of speakers, activities, food and the chance to watch the eclipse with Nye himself.

The event will feature a variety of science enthusiasts such as YouTuber Mark Rober, science educator Science Bob and Planetary Society radio host Sarah Al-Ahmed. Tickets for the Eclipse-O-Rama festival cost $325 per person and cover daytime programming from Sunday through Monday night. Children aged 5 and younger can attend for free.

However, this event is exclusive to Planetary Society members only. If you are not a member, you can become one by paying a one-time annual fee of $50 during the Eclipse-O-Rama registration process.
