Towering Over the Basketball World: FAU Star Vladislav Goldin Chooses Michigan with Dusty May at the Helm

Vladislav Goldin, a key player for Florida Atlantic, has decided to use his final season of college eligibility to play for Michigan under new head coach Dusty May. The 7-foot-1 center has averaged 15.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game over three seasons at FAU and is expected to bring low-post scoring and pick-and-roll capabilities to the Wolverines.

Goldin played three seasons with May at FAU, including a successful 2022-23 season that saw the team reach the Final Four. He began his college career at Texas Tech before transferring to FAU. Michigan lost scoring and defensive presence when Hunter Dickinson transferred to Kansas, making Goldin’s commitment all the more valuable for the Wolverines.

Dusty May is overhauling the Michigan men’s basketball program with a series of transfers like Danny Wolf from Yale, Tre Donaldson from Auburn, Sam Walters from Alabama, Roddy Gayle Jr. from Ohio State, and Rubin Jones from North Texas joining the team. Additionally, Michigan secured a commitment from Justin Pippen, son of basketball legend Scottie Pippen. By committing to Michigan, Goldin has decided to withdraw his name from consideration for the 2024 NBA Draft and focus on his final season of college basketball with Coach May as he helps lead the Wolverines to success on the court.
