Tragic Loss: Israel Mourns Argentine Hostage Killed by Hamas

On Tuesday, Israel announced the tragic death of one of the Argentines held hostage by Hamas, Lior Rudaeff. The 61-year-old man was killed on October 7 and his body is still being held in Gaza. The Israeli Embassy confirmed this news and revealed that Rudaeff was a married man with four children.

Rudaeff’s family had to seek shelter for 48 hours during the peak of the violence and were eventually rescued. According to information shared on social media by those close to Rudaeff, he was an ambulance driver as well as a volunteer doctor. On the day of the attack by Hamas against Israel, Rudaeff went out to assist in the defense of the kibbutz. His family had received a message from him expressing his love for them, but nothing more was heard from him after that day.

Rudaeff was born in Buenos Aires but relocated to Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak with his family at the age of 8. He was known for his love of cycling and was a fan of the popular Israeli musician Shlomo Artzi. The tragedy of his death has left behind a grieving wife, four children, and grandchildren. The news of his murder was met with sorrow and condolences from many people around the world.
