On Monday, a note was released by Donald Trump’s physician stating that the former president is in “excellent health” and will continue to lead a healthy, active lifestyle for many years. This statement comes amidst growing concern about the physical and mental health of both Trump and Democratic President Joe Biden, who turned 81 on the same day.

Trump’s physician, Bruce Aronwald, signed the note and stated that Trump has lost weight through improved nutrition and daily exercise while maintaining a busy schedule. However, no additional details were provided about his health status. In contrast, Biden’s birthday was met with no such announcement from his team or doctor.

In 2016, a similar note was released by Trump’s physician at the time, Harold Bornstein. In that case, it was revealed that Trump had dictated the contents of the letter himself. The letter indicated that he weighed 215 pounds (98 kg) and stood at 6 feet 3 inches (1.9 meters) tall. This information was made public in relation to a criminal case stemming from Trump’s attempts to overturn his 2020 election defeat in Georgia, where he has pleaded not guilty in several cases.

Despite these concerns about their health, both Trump and Biden have continued to run for president in 2024.
