Former Notre Dame basketball star joins Oklahoma City Thunder

Cormac Ryan, a former Notre Dame player, recently agreed to a short-term contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Despite not being selected in the 2024 NBA draft, Ryan’s impressive stats and solid performance at Notre Dame caught the attention of the Thunder.

Ryan, who transferred to Notre Dame from Stanford, averaged 10.5 points per game over 31.2 minutes during his four years at the school. He also had success at North Carolina Tar Heels last season, scoring 11.5 points per game and shooting 35.5% from three-point range.

One of Ryan’s standout performances last season was when he scored 31 points in a road win over Duke, hitting six three-pointers in the process. The signing with the Thunder marks a new chapter in Ryan’s career, and fans are eager to see what he will bring to the team. While not hearing his name called in the draft may have been disappointing, Ryan’s determination and talent have earned him a spot in the NBA with the Thunder.
