UNESCO Designation of Inform es-Sultan as World Heritage Website Ignites Israeli Outrage

The United Nations World Heritage Committee has declared the Inform es-Sultan archaeological web site in Jericho a “World Heritage Website in Palestine.” This determination was made at a convention in Riyadh, in accordance with UNESCO. The announcement was met with approval from the Palestinian Authority, whereas Israel expressed anger over the choice.
