16 Idaho Towns Engaging in Community Health Initiatives

The Community Health Academy, a program by the Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health, is helping city officials and mayors from sixteen Idaho cities understand and prioritize the importance of building healthy communities. This five-month learning collaborative brings leaders together to learn from experts, collaborate, and work on projects that improve community health. Since 2017, the Academy has been offered by the Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health, with a total of 38 Idaho communities having participated in previous cohorts.

This year’s academy is the largest cohort yet, thanks to a donation from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott to the Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health. The participating cities in the academy are American Falls, Ashton, Bellevue, Bovill, Carey, Driggs, Eagle, East Hope, Firth, Lava Hot Springs, Ketchum, Marsing, Meridian
