VA Finger Lakes Health Care Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Residency

The VA Finger Lakes Healthcare System’s Mental Health APRN Residency program aims to provide clinical experience in managing mental health conditions affecting the Veteran population. It focuses on enhancing diagnostic, psychiatric medication management, and psychotherapy skills, as well as developing strong interprofessional collaboration and Veteran-centric care expertise.

The mission of the program is to prepare mental health Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN’s) to deliver high-quality care for Veterans, including those in rural and underserved patient populations. Eligible applicants can apply for the program by the March 8, 2024 deadline.
