Jefferson & Madison Counties to Host Wellness Expo in Collaboration with Health Departments

The Jefferson & Madison County Departments of Health Chronic Disease Committee is organizing a wellness expo in the Monticello area to promote overall health and wellness in the community. Administrator Kimberly Allbritton emphasizes the importance of events like these in raising awareness about colo-rectal health and encouraging proactive health practices.

The expo will take place at the First Baptist Church of Monticello from 4 to 7 p.m., with over 30 vendors present, offering a variety of wellness resources and information. The event is free to attend and open to the public, providing access to free health screenings, disaster-preparedness information, giveaways, and more.

In addition to the wellness vendors, Second Harvest of the Big Bend will be on-site at the expo, offering a free produce giveaway and cooking demonstrations. The goal of the expo is to provide valuable resources and information to help individuals improve their health and well-being.
