WhatsApp has announced that it will no longer work on a series of older smartphones, affecting users who use devices that are no longer compatible with the latest software versions. This means that those who use Samsung, Apple, Huawei, Motorola, Lenovo, Sony, LG and more models may face interruptions while using the messaging app. To continue using WhatsApp without any issues, users must have a smartphone running at least Android version 5.0 or later, iOS 12 or later, KaiOS version 2.5.0 or later.
Samsung models such as Galaxy Ace Plus, Galaxy Core and Galaxy Express 2 are among those that will no longer support WhatsApp. Similarly, Motorola’s Moto G and Apple’s iPhone 5C and iPhone 6 models are also on the list of devices that will no longer be supported by the messaging app. Huawei’s Ascend P6 S and Ascend G525 will also no longer support WhatsApp.
It is essential for users to check their device’s compatibility with WhatsApp to avoid any interruptions while using the app. It is recommended to update to a compatible software version to ensure seamless usage of the messaging app.
