Tesla CEO and owner of social network X, Elon Musk, has been criticized by the White House for allegedly promoting anti-Semitism. The White House has condemned Musk’s comments, stating that they go against the core values of Americans. Recent posts on X, including his affirmative response to a post that “Jews are fueling hatred of whites” and his comment “You speak the truth,” have sparked outrage.
The White House spokesperson emphasized the importance of unity against hate and urged Musk to speak out against attacks on the dignity of fellow Americans. The spreading of such lies is seen as unacceptable, especially given the increase in anti-Semitic incidents since the war between Israel and Hamas. Many companies and organizations have suspended their advertisements on X in protest at the increasing disinformation and hate messages on the social media platform. Among these are entities such as IBM, Lions Gate Entertainment, Apple, Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz and even investors in Tesla who have expressed criticism of Musk, raising concerns about potential damage to the car brand’s reputation.
