Alkass, a renowned Qatari network known for its exceptional coverage of global and local sporting events, has recently announced plans to enhance its production capabilities. They will be adopting EVS’ LiveCeption Signature solution for premium live production and replays. The agreement between the two companies was announced at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, marking a significant milestone for Alkass.
The new solution will enable Alkass to replace all legacy XT3 servers with state-of-the-art XT-VIA servers and incorporate IP-based LSM-VIA replay systems. This decision ensures that Alkass remains future-ready and adaptable to its evolving needs. Operators will have instant access to network content, enabling them to navigate through live content effortlessly and create compelling replays and highlights of every captured moment. Furthermore, the solution offers the option to integrate XtraMotion, EVS’ AI-based super slow-motion service, enhancing storytelling capabilities with super slow-motion replays.

He emphasized the importance of expanding their partnership with EVS to elevate their production operations further. Serge Van Herck, CEO at EVS, highlighted the trust that Alkass has placed in EVS and expressed confidence that the LiveCeption Signature solution will provide them with unparalleled capabilities for immersive live storytelling and audience engagement.
