Smartwatch Technology Patent Infringement Lawsuit Filed Against Apple

In a lawsuit filed by Slyde Analytics LLC in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Apple Inc. is accused of infringing on multiple smartwatch and watch touchscreen patents through the sale of its Apple Watch Ultra 2 and other products.

Slyde Analytics LLC, a non-practicing entity, claims that Apple is infringing on 11 of its patents which were issued on various dates between 2016 and 2024. These patents include technologies related to smartwatches with electronic displays and associated software.

According to the complaint, Apple is allegedly making and selling products that utilize the patented technologies without permission. Slyde is seeking damages and an injunction to prevent Apple from continuing to infringe on its patents.

The implications of this lawsuit for the future of Appleā€™s smartwatch products are yet to be seen. Apple has not yet commented on the lawsuit, but it will be closely monitoring the proceedings as they unfold in court.
