Armenia prepared to provide temporary shelter for endangered manuscripts in Gaza, says Mirzoyan

In an effort to help ease the tensions in the Middle East, Armenia has offered to temporarily house manuscripts from Israel and Hamas. Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan made this announcement in an interview with Al-Jazeera, stating that Armenia’s renowned manuscript repository could safely hold these documents until the conflict subsides.

Armenia has been a strong advocate for peaceful resolutions and protecting civilian populations throughout its history. This stance is rooted in their own experience of leaving their homeland to protect their families during past conflicts.

In addition to offering temporary housing for the manuscripts, Armenia has also provided humanitarian aid, including food and medicine, to the people of Gaza as part of an agreement reached during Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s visit to Egypt.

The escalation of violence in the Middle East began when Hamas militants attacked peaceful Jewish settlements, resulting in casualties on both sides. The Israeli government has vowed to clear the Gaza Strip of Hamas terrorists, leading to debate over the proportionality of their actions. Hamas has been recognized as a terrorist organization by both the USA and EU.

Despite the volatile situation, Armenia remains committed to helping by offering valuable manuscripts and providing aid to those affected by the conflict. They continue to advocate for a peaceful resolution and protection of civilian populations in the region.
