Atlanta Bread to permanently close after almost two decades of operation this Sunday

Atlanta Bread, a popular restaurant in Wilmington, NC, recently announced that they will be closing their doors after nearly twenty years in business. The co-owner and operator, Jon Bibb, shared a heartfelt statement explaining the reasons behind the closure. He mentioned that after trying to negotiate a new lease with their landlord, CBL, they were informed that their space had already been leased to another business and the center where they were located was being re-merchandised. This led to the difficult decision to close their doors for good this coming Sunday.

Bibb expressed his gratitude to the loyal customers and staff members who have been a part of Atlanta Bread’s journey over the years. He thanked the people of Wilmington for their kindness and support, mentioning how much they appreciate the community for embracing their dream of running a successful restaurant in the area. Despite the closure of the physical location, Atlanta Bread will continue to operate their catering services until May 12, when the staff will begin the process of moving out. The announcement was made on Facebook, where they also shared their appreciation for the support they have received. This marks
