U.S. News & World Report’s Ranking of the Top High Schools in the Augusta Area

U.S. News & World Report has released its latest update on the Best High Schools national rankings, showcasing schools’ 2024 stats. The rankings highlight schools with students who excelled in state assessments for science, math, and reading, as well as strong performances from underserved students, college readiness, curriculum breadth, and high graduation rates.

In the Augusta area, several public schools stood out in their respective districts and even at the state or national level. In Richmond County, top-ranking schools included Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School (No. 6 in Georgia and No. 264 in the U.S.), A.R. Johnson Magnet School (No. 11 in Georgia and No. 366 in the U.S.), and Richmond County Technical Career Magnet School. Other notable Richmond County schools were Academy of Richmond County and Westside High School.

In Columbia County, schools like Greenbrier High School (No. 51 in Georgia) and Lakeside High School (No. 81 in Georgia) received recognition.
