Austin defeats Dallas 2-1

FC Dallas lost their fourth consecutive game in the MLS season, going down 2-1 to Austin FC on Saturday night. The hosts scored a thrilling goal in the 70th minute through Julio Cascante, after receiving a perfect cross from Sebastián Driussi. This put them in a commanding 2-1 lead over the visitors.

Dallas had initially taken the lead with Eugene Ansah scoring in the 51st minute, but Austin quickly equalized just a few minutes later when Cascante redirected a cross from Jon Gallagher into the back of the net. Despite Dallas’ early advantage, it was Austin who dominated possession throughout the match, taking 65% of the ball and outshooting their opponents by 9. Both goalkeepers made three saves each to keep the game close.

This win saw Austin improve their record to 1-2-3, while FC Dallas suffered another loss and are yet to win on home soil this season.
