Cowboys Set to Ink Deal with Linebacker Damien Wilson

The Cowboys have welcomed back linebacker Damien Wilson to their roster, according to Todd Archer of ESPN. Despite not being in the league for most of the previous season, Wilson signed with the Cowboys’ practice squad on Jan. 3. He had served a four-game suspension for violating the Personal Conduct Policy.

Wilson’s last appearance in a game was in Week 18 of the 2022 season with the Panthers. Originally drafted by the Cowboys in the fourth round in 2015, Wilson spent his first four seasons in Dallas before playing for Kansas City, Jacksonville, and Carolina.

With Marist Liufau drafted in the third round and depth needed at the linebacker position, the Cowboys decided to sign Wilson as their fourth outside free agent addition this offseason, joining Ezekiel Elliott, Eric Kendricks and Royce Freeman.
